![]() ![]() (Moravian Church, Schoeneck, Register Book #2, Moravian Archives, Bethlehem, PA) That Hahn family genealogy has been fairly well documented but no evidence has been found to link Susanna to that family.Īlso, the baptismal record of Johann Georg Serfass, son of Johannes and Susanna, in the records of the Moravian Church at Schoeneck, Plainfield (now Bushkill) Twp., Northampton Co., PA, gives her maiden name as "Hahn". One of those families was Johann Philip Hahn from the Plainfield Twp. However, no families by that name have been found in or around Northampton (or Lehigh) County in the late 1700s or early 1800s, whereas there were many "Hahn" families already in the same area at that time. In an article about the Serfass family in Volume III of "History of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania" by Charles Rhoads Roberts, her name is given as "Hone". Susanna's maiden name was most likely "Hahn".
